Personally, I think that between "films" like Wild Hogs, Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Norbit; 2007 so far is poised to become one of the most competitive years at the Razzie Awards ever. As moviegoers, we are getting used to the idea that the really good films come out till the last months of each year; with summer exceptions like United 93, Little Miss Sunshine or Crash (yes, you read that) giving us an early taste of what is yet to come in the fall.

This is the main reason why we enjoy our Halfway of the Year Awards so much; it gives us the chance to honor those films and performances that most likely won't make it to the Kodak but that would definitely stand a chance for glory in a fair world... On our first edition we awarded Crash with Best Picture (you know how that ended), and last year United 93 was our champ; what deserving film will be crowned the best cinematic work of 2007 so far? We'll know on July 24.

So, how do you get to choose the best films and performances from the first half of the year? You, along with our entire community, vote!
